The Sunny Tripower CORE1 is the world’s first free-standing string inverter for decentralized rooftop and ground-based PV systems as well as covered parking spaces. The groundbreaking new design allows reductions in installation time of up to 60% and, at the same time, lowers the total cost of ownership (OPEX).
Its unique, free-standing design allows the Sunny Tripower CORE1 to be installed 60% faster than other string inverters. The innovative, fully integrated design of the CORE1 ensures low BoS costs, simpler project processes and lower material expenses. It sets new standards for decentralized rooftop and ground-based PV systems and covered parking lots.
The CORE1 has proven its value. Thanks to its versatility, it has become the first choice for commercial PV projects, enjoys great popularity and has unlimited delivery capacity.
From delivery and installation to operation, the Sunny Tripower CORE1 generates widespread savings in logistics, labor, materials and services. With integrated Wi-Fi access for fast commissioning, up-to-date plug-and-play communication and smart grid support functions, PV installations are quicker and easier to complete than ever before.

With the Modbus protocol interface, SMA makes flexible integration of inverters possible. Through the use of this well-known industry standard, you can integrate SMA inverters into your systems without having to follow the SMA-specific inverter protocol.
Ambient conditions are not always ideal for a WLAN connection between an inverter and a router. For example, drywall can impair wireless signals significantly, or the inverter might not send its signals correctly because of an installation location that cannot be changed. In this case, simply use the external WLAN antenna extension to increase range even in poor ambient conditions and to ensure a reliable connection with your router.
The sensor module allows you to record environmental data such as solar irradiation and cell temperature to analyze system performance. This means that any PV system malfunctions can be detected quickly and yield loss minimized. The SMA Sensor Module allows you to connect sensors that measure ambient temperature or wind speed and also provides a simple display for an S0 energy meter.
The ideal solution for the expansion of existing PV systems that already use RS485 communication. The RS485 interface can be retrofitted and guarantees the proven, cable-based SMA fieldbus communication via RS485 for simple connection to a data logger with a cable length of up to 1,200 meters.
As a multifunction interface, the SMA I/O Module ensures the implementation of grid management services and therefore compliance with the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) 2012.
